| Ralph was also known as "Marion".
He is reputed to have an accomplished musician, perhaps performing with the
Paul Whiteman Orchestra in the 1920's - this has not yet been confirmed.
He was the youngest of Daniel and Sadie's
sons, born a few weeks prior to Sadie's death. It is believed he assisted
his father and brothers during the beginning of their venture with the
Loveland-Estes Park Auto Transportation, perhaps while the company was still a
stage line. By 1911, he had apparently moved to Denver. as noted in the
Loveland Daily Herald, Jan 10, 1911:
"Mr. and Mrs. Estes
Osborn were Denver passengers this morning. They will visit Mr. Osborn's
brother, Marion, and family and also take in the stock show."
His father's obituary notes that in 1926, Ralph was residing in Portland,
Oregon. When his brother, Lawrence
Estes Osborn, died in 1939, he was living in Glendale, California.
In 1941 (at the time of brother William's
death), he is noted as living in Los Angeles, California.
Ralph died in Altadena, California, October 1944. |
