| Alpheus and Lillian lived in Larimer
County, until they moved to Wyoming in 1920. The 1880 census indicates
Alpheus was a farmer at that time, and by 1900 he was a stationary engineer,
possibly at a sugar factory. The 1920 census indicates he was once again
a farmer, and in 1930, his occupation is again listed as a engineer
(mechanical) in a sugar factory. Lillian died in 1926. In later
life, Alpheus lived with his son Pearl ("P.W."). Although his obituary
notes he suffered a stroke a few years before he died, he remained active
until just a few days prior to his death. |
