| Alexander and Amy lived for a time in
Caldwell County, Missouri, where most of the children were born. They
later settled in the small rural town of Virginia Dale, Larimer Co., CO,
around 1873. (Virginia Dale is about 4 miles south of the
Wyoming/Colorado border.) According the census records, Alex was a
farmer in this rugged and beautiful terrain. Alexander and Amy are buried in
the Virginia Dale Community Church cemetery, Virginia Dale, Larimer Co., CO.
Within this small cemetery, Alex and Amy have the largest marked plot, and the
only plot with a small picket fence around it. |
